Suzuki was founded in 1909 by Michio Suzuki and his partner, Masajiro Irimajiri. The company started out as a manufacturer of looms and other textile machinery but quickly transitioned to automobiles in the 1930s.
The first Suzuki car was produced in 1955, and it was called the Suzulight. It was followed by a number of other models, including the Jimny and Swift models.
Today, Suzuki has a wide range of cars, including the Jimny, Swift, Baleno RS-Z (sports car), Alto 800 (economy car), Celerio (small hatchback), Fino (mini SUV), Ciaz (compact sedan), S-Cross (compactor SUV) and Kizashi (mid-size sedan).
