About Drive Fuze

Drive Fuze is a car subscription specialist. You pay a monthly fee for an all-inclusive driving experience that renews on a rolling monthly basis. The subscription fee includes servicing, road tax, insurance, and breakdown cover. All you need to pay for is fuel.

Drive Fuze is one of the youngest car subscription providers. They offer a limited range of vehicles, but their prices are relatively low. While they do have a physical office in Bedfordshire, all communication, booking, and support takes place online.

This guide gives you all the essential information you need when subscribing to a car with Drive Fuze.

How does Drive Fuze work?

You can take out a car subscription on the Drive Fuze website. Here’s how it works:

  1. Take a look at the available cars on the Drive Fuze website. Select the car you want to drive.
  2. Tell them about any named drivers and additional mileage if needed.
  3. Share your ID documents (usually your driving licence, a credit or debit card, and proof of address). Drive Fuze will verify these.
  4. If you pass a credit check, your car subscription will be approved.
  5. Drive Fuze will take the upfront payment and let you know when your car is on its way.

Drive Fuze subscriptions work on a rolling contract basis. Every month you can decide whether to renew your car subscription for the following month. You’ll need to give 7 days’ notice to cancel your car subscription with Drive Fuze.

Driver eligibility and requirements

To be eligible for a Drive Fuze car subscription, you must:

  • Be aged 25 to 74 years and 6 months
  • Have held a full valid UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months
  • Not work in the sports, entertainment/theatrical, racing or gambling industries
  • Have no more than 6 points on your licence
  • Have had no driving offence codes, or driving disqualifications within the last 5 years
  • Have no more than 1 CCJ
  • Have no more than 1 fault claim in the last 3 years
  • Pass the Drive Fuze credit check.

How much does Drive Fuze cost?

Drive Fuze car subscription costs between £399 and £599 as of February 2023, making this one of the cheaper car subscription services out there.

Each Drive Fuze car subscription includes:

  • Your chosen car
  • Comprehensive insurance
  • All servicing and maintenance
  • Road tax
  • Breakdown cover
  • 1,000 miles per month (you can upgrade this for a fee).

An initial payment is required, which includes an upfront subscription fee, delivery costs, and a £100 administration fee. When you return the car, this initial payment will be refunded to you (minus the administration fee).

Why choose Drive Fuze?

Drive Fuze is a great option for drivers looking for a cheaper car subscription without all the bells and whistles. They don’t offer too many customisation options, but this keeps things simple: you can sign up and walk away after a month if you decide it’s not for you.

With 1,000 miles included, Drive Fuze offers one of the more generous standard car subscription mileage packages. So it works if you want a little more leeway with your monthly mileage, without paying extra for additional miles (although this is also available if needed).

Drive Fuze guarantees to deliver your car within 7 days of ordering. So if you need a car subscription with a quick turnaround, this is a good option. You won’t need to wait around for car customisation or availability.

FAQs about Drive Fuze

How long can I keep my Drive Fuze car?

There’s no limit to your subscription length. It works on a rolling monthly basis, so as long as you don’t cancel your subscription, you’ll continue to have use of the car.

Can I drive an electric car with Drive Fuze?

Yes, but their selection is limited. If you’re keen to drive an electric car on subscription, it may be worth looking at an EV specialist like EZOO or elmo instead.

How often can you swap your car with Drive Fuze?

Because their contracts only last a month, you can swap your car every month if you want to. Bear in mind that you’ll pay a car delivery and collection fee each time you swap vehicles.
