As car ownership changes, fuel prices continue to rise – and with manufacturers filling the forecourts with new EV models fresh off the production line, now is the time to make the switch to electric power.

In 2012, EZOO founders Lash and Charnjit Saranna made that very same switch – bringing with them almost 30 years of automotive experience that included building Europe’s largest independent Porsche centre.

From day one, the goal has been to bring awareness and education around the switch from combustion to electric, to create what EZOO prides itself on today – Pay As You Go Electric.

How does EZOO work?

Affordable, flexible, and customisable, EZOO's electric car subscription service is built to make the shift to electric power as easy as possible.

The usual process for new customers usually consists of the following steps:

• Browse through their inventory and pick a car you like.
• Create an account and submit your details.
• A credit check will carried out to confirm your identity.
• Your subscription car will be delivered to you.

Driver eligibility and requirements

• You are at least 25 years of age (30+ for premium models like Tesla).
• You currently live in the UK (for a minimum of 1 year).
• You’ve held a full valid UK or EU driver’s license for at least 2 years (or 3 years for some premium models).
• You pass affordability and identity checks.

Your application may be not be approved if:

• You have more than 6 points on your license.
• You have criminal convictions or have been charged with a criminal offence.
• You have had any major driving convictions in the last 3 years.
• You have been disqualified from driving in the last 3 years.

How much does EZOO cost?

An EZOO subscription includes:

• Electric car.
• Fully comprehensive insurance.
• Servicing & maintenance.
• 24/7 breakdown cover.
• Road tax.
• Congestion charge autopay.

EZOO also offers add-ons like home charge cables and additional drivers.

You can collect your car for free at one of their collection hubs, or EZOO can deliver to you for a flat fee.

Your initial payment includes:

• Your first month’s subscription.
• The damage waiver (fully refundable).
• The admin fee .

For longer contracts, EZOO takes a subscription payment each month.
